I’ve been extremely lazy about getting dressed this summer—and I’m not sorry about it. Most days, it’s been workout clothes, a baseball cap, and a messy bun. If I’m lucky, a linen set. If I’m really lucky, a swimsuit all day.

Which is why I’m feeling especially excited to get dressed this fall—I’m ready to approach it like a ritual again. To shift from just “getting out the door” to getting intentional about how I show up in the world. When there's the slightest chill in the air and the days get shorter, suddenly I crave cashmere, suede, and buttery knits that channel the coziest feels. Fall is a whole mood that invites us to slow down and savor small pleasures (including the perfect blazer or suede booties).

I love the trend on social where people share things they “find incredibly chic," so today’s edit is a collection of the things I find incredibly chic for fall—a wardrobe of essentials that feels both elevated and effortless. There’s a thread of quiet luxury here—but for me, it’s not just about beautiful fabrics and timeless silhouettes (though yes, those are included). It’s about moving through the world with confidence. Knowing that the way we dress can help us show up more fully ourselves.

How to Use My Fall Wardrobe Guide

If your closet is ready for a fall refresh, this post is for you. Whether you're building a capsule from scratch or just looking to fill in a few gaps, I've rounded up my absolute favorites in each fall category: sweaters, jeans, boots, bags, and more.

Each item is either something I already own or something at the very top of my fall wishlist. The focus is on timeless staples that will serve you season after season—they're meant to last and will save you from those "I have nothing to wear" moments.

Keep reading for:

  • The cozy sweaters I reach for most often

  • Vintage-inspired jeans that look good with everything

  • The actual perfect white tee

  • Jewelry pieces I wear daily

  • My best “investment piece” that I’ve owned for over a decade

Let’s do this.

The Cozy Sweater

Nothing’s more quintessentially fall than a sweater that’s so cozy you could curl up and nap in it. I gravitate towards knits that feel relaxed but elevated—chunky turtlenecks, oversized crewnecks, and soft cashmere to throw over denim or drape over my shoulders. Here are my can't-live-without fall sweaters:

  • Montecito Sweater, Frank & Eileen: This has the perfect drape for a half-tuck, and also looks great untucked over wide-leg jeans. It’s made from super soft Italian cotton—a year-round staple.

  • Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Cashmere Sweater, Quince: Big fan of Quince’s cashmere offerings—they’re the same quality as certain other brand’s viral cashmere sweaters at a fraction of the price (trust me, I own both and can compare). I just ordered the oversized version of their classic crewneck—and the Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck is also perfect.

  • Shaker Stitch Cardigan, Haven Well Within: Cozy, textured, and made for weekend lounging or WFH days—I like to throw it over leggings and a tank to elevate my pilates look.

Fall Denim You’ll Want to Wear

If you're wondering what denim trends are in this fall, good news: there's a lot of room to play. My favorite brands are embracing both high and mid-rise, as well as straight-leg, wide-leg, and cropped. So you do you, but make it flattering—which equals feeling comfortable in your own skin. These are the 3 pairs I’m obsessed with right now:
