Design Your Dream Year: Day 1
A 5-day framework to create your most intentional year.
Design Your Dream Year is a 5-day workshop to help you create your most intentional year yet. Each day, we’ll walk through a powerful step in The Vision Framework—my simple, soul-aligned method for getting clear on what you want, connecting with your future self, and turning that clarity into daily action. Work through the full course here.
Whenever you’re reading this, I want to invite you into something different. Instead of resolutions or pressure to reinvent your whole life, we’re going to design a year that actually reflects who you are and what matters to you. Inside this workshop, you’ll receive journaling prompts, simple exercises, and game-changing habits that have completely changed my life over the past three years. Day 1 (today!) is free for everyone, and Days 2–5 are available to our paid community. (And don’t forget—paid members get free access to our Vision Board Workshop on Zoom this Saturday!!) SO excited for us to walk through this together. Let’s dive in.
Start here: Reconnect With What You Truly Want
When it comes to setting intentions, I’ve noticed two patterns: there are people who love the fresh-start energy and dive headfirst into reinventing themselves. And there are those who avoid resolutions altogether because they’re tired of setting goals that never seem to stick.
I’ve been in both camps depending on the year, but the truth is, lasting transformation requires a different approach altogether. TBH, I love the promise of shiny new goals and can dive into self-help books and glow-up plans with the best of ‘em. But I’ve learned from experience: before I can create anything meaningful in my life (that actually sticks!), I have to get quiet enough to hear myself. To pause the forward momentum, and listen for the voice underneath all the noise—the one that actually knows what I actually want.
Real change begins on the inside, and that’s the journey of this workshop. You can’t design a dream year by hustling your way into someone else’s definition of success, however sparkly it may be. You do it by tapping into your authentic self.
A moment that showed me the way
A few years ago, I was in a season where everything looked great on the outside—an amazing family, beautiful home, growing business—but I felt like I wasn’t really present for the life I was working so hard to build.
I had let my calendar fill to max capacity with holiday events, year-end work deadlines, and inbox overflow. And on top of everything else, I’d just launched a new business, Casa Zuma (because that’s what we do when we’re too busy—we add something else, cause why not). One Saturday morning, I woke up feeling like dead weight with major brain fog. I took two COVID tests because I was convinced I must be sick.
Turns out, I wasn’t sick, exactly—I was just completely burnt out.
In that haze of exhaustion, something clicked. I realized I was moving through my days on autopilot. I was sprinting through life, always doing, but rarely enjoying. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Even the moments that were supposed to be fun felt like items on a never-ending to-do list.
That morning forced me to ask some hard questions: What exactly am I chasing—and why does it feel like I’m never quite getting there? And—what’s the point of “success” if I can’t even enjoy it? Somewhere between striving and achieving, I’d lost the plot. I’d been trying to build my dream life from the outside in—working harder, adding more, pushing endlessly. And in the process, I disconnected from my purpose and my priorities.
So often in our lives, the toughest moments become our greatest teachers, and I’m grateful for that moment because it was a turning point. Instead of continuing to hustle my way into some perfected version of my life, I chose to slow down and turn inward. To ask myself the hard questions and course correct. And here’s what I learned the hard way:
A dream life isn’t something you achieve by doing more. It’s something you create by listening more deeply and following that inner voice. When I finally slow down enough to listen, I can hear what God’s been trying to show me all along.
Here’s where your Dream Year begins
Before we start making plans for the season ahead, we have to gain clarity on where we actually want to go (crazy how often we skip this step!). This workshop starts by reconnecting you with your desires, your energy, your truth—so that the big dreams you design this week are rooted in who you are, not who you think you should be.
Starting tomorrow: You’ll receive simple, powerful daily prompts and exercises—each taking about 15 minutes—that will help you design the year you’re meant to live. Instead of a list of “shoulds,” you’ll leave with a vision that lights you up and makes you giddy to jump out of bed every morning.
How to move through this course
Over the next four days, we’ll create the vision and structure that will guide your dream year:
You’ll meet your Future Self and understand who you’re becoming
You’ll turn clarity into daily aligned action
You’ll build a vision board that feels like the truest expression of you
You’ll create rituals and rhythms to stay connected to your purpose all year long
Each day will move you closer to a life that feels intentional and aligned, so that at the end of this week you’ll feel genuinely excited for the year ahead, with a plan for lasting transformation.
How to make this a nourishing and grounding reset:
Gather your tools: all you really need is something to capture your thoughts. Have a journal or your Notes app at the ready so you can jot down your inspiration.
Create a ritual that feels grounding: I love doing these practices first thing in the morning when my mind is most quiet. But choose what works for you—a lunch break or cozy evening is great, too. And create a little ritual around it! I light a candle, pour my coffee, and get really comfy, so it’s something I truly look forward to each day.
The rest of the workshop lives inside our paid community, so if today’s reflection stirred something in you—if you felt that little spark of I want more of this—I’d love for you to join us. You’ll get access to the full 5-day workshop, and can revisit it anytime you need a reset.
You’ll get:
Day 2: Guided Future Self meditation + prompts
Day 3: The Vision-to-Action method
Day 4: The Vision Board process
Day 5: Integration tools to carry your clarity into the rest of the year
Space to share reflections with our community
Your next chapter starts here—and I’m so excited to walk into it with you.
Today’s prompt for discussion:
Before diving into the year ahead, let’s reflect: What do you most want more of in this next season of your life?

I spent a long time journaling last night, pages and pages, more than I’ve ever journaled. I had sat down thinking of all of the bad this year - and it was a hard year, marked by loss - of my job, my dad, my grandmother, a friend. But I also built a business that is thriving, despite what feels like not a lot of effort. I definitely put work into it but I’m excited to put more intentionality into growing my business and really focusing this year.
The best thing that happened in 2025 was moving back to Florida near family, into our new home, after serving military careers over 20+ years. We are so happy!
