10 Things I Bought and Loved in April
Plus, how to create your dream home and my favorite jeans under $30.
This post is brought to you by Haven Well Within, with additional consideration from Spanx, Sézane, and Target.
It feels cliché to say that spring is a time to refresh our spaces—but every year, that first warm breeze has me throwing open the windows and diving headfirst into decluttering mode. There’s something about this season that sparks a deep craving for simplicity. A lighter closet, clearer surfaces, and fewer distractions—I want it all.
The power of a “tweakment”
We’ve lived in our home for 15 years, and though I have a long list of updates I’d like to make, my current budget is more geared towards “micro” makeovers. Especially with our Malibu renovation in full swing, I’m restraining the urge to make other major design investments right now. That said, I’ve been feeling like our living room could use a refresh—it’s basically been the same furniture, same rug, same shelf styling since this update in 2021. Things were feeling a little stale.
So, I got strategic with refreshing this space over the past month—more of a “tweakment” than a full facelift. And wow, it’s wild how a few thoughtful changes can completely shift the energy of a space. Here are a few peeks at our updated living room (I wrote more about it here if you’d like to read more about my design process or get links).

I’ve always believed that our environments have the power to transform our daily lives. When I named this newsletter Breathing Space, it was about creating emotional and mental space in our lives to think and dream. But I was also thinking about our physical spaces. The rooms that help us slow down, feel grounded, and connect to what matters.
What does your dream home feel like?
At one of my Vision Board Workshops earlier this year, one woman asked, “What if my dream home feels completely out of reach?” I invited the group to get out their pens and journal through these prompts:
What does your dream home feel like?
How does it speak to the senses—what music is playing, what scents are there?
How do you feel when you wake up in your bed?
In your dream day, how do you spend time at home?
The conversation reminded us all: our dream home isn’t about a price tag or square footage—it’s a feeling. A vibe. And we can begin to create it, even in small ways, right now.
10 Things I Bought and Loved in April
Lots of fun finds I've been dying to share with you guys this month! I’d love to hear about any new discoveries (beauty, wellness, books, fashion, home decor, food) you’re currently obsessing over, so leave your recommendations in the comments.

Breezy linen pants
If I could bottle up “summer in Italy” and wear it, it would look like these 100% linen pants. They’re breezy, flattering, and have that effortless, timeless quality that makes even a tee and sandals feel elevated. This summer I’ll pair with a fitted black tank and oversized sunglasses. La dolce vita.
Our partner Haven Well Within gave me a great offer to share with you: Use code CAMILLE40FS to get 40% off a regular-price item + free shipping (ends May 4th!)
Outdoor dining chairs of my dreams
Our new furniture collection with Häti Home launched this week, and I’m honestly obsessed with every single piece. The Ulu Dining Chairs now live around the table in our backyard, and they’re so beautiful, comfy, and well-made, I know we’ll be living in them all summer.
Moody beach read
I loved this poetic, haunting book—so much so that I read it every night until the end. Wild Dark Shore pulls you in with a slow, eerie tension that builds in all the best ways. If you also love a moody coastal setting, complex female characters, and stories that stay with you long after the last page… this one’s for you.
Best jeans under $30 (EVER)
Honestly can’t believe the price of these perfectly cut, incredibly soft wide-leg jeans. I got them in the light wash, and I get compliments on them every time I wear them (which is frequently). I love seeing the reaction on people’s faces when I say I got them at Target.

Matching set with French girl energy
If you need a chic outfit for spring (think bridal shower, business lunch, or you just need to pull it together!) look no further than this Sézane set that removes the mental load from putting together a cool outfit. A sleeveless ivory jacket in a beautiful textured cotton weave, paired with matching high-waisted trousers that you’ll wear with a million other things—this is a classic I’ll have in my closet forever.
A powder blush comeback
Is it me, or do most of the viral blushes these days tend to be gel, cream, or stick? I’d almost forgotten the ease of a classic powder blush. Saie just launched the prettiest shades (and a great brush as well). No streaking—just a pretty, flushed glow.
Chic pantry storage
The baking supplies in my pantry needed a major upgrade, so I ordered these gallon-sized mason jars and they totally transformed my pantry shelves. I fill mine with flour, almond flour, sugar, and brown sugar—it all feels very Meghan in Montecito. For those of us who get excited about that kinda thing, these are a great spring cleaning treat.
Most flattering white jeans (with a secret)
Okay, I realize this newsletter has a bit of a pants theme, but I’m on a kick—and these perfect white jeans are too good not to mention. I love a white jean but find 99% of them to be unflattering (anyone else?) so I was kind of shocked at how much I loved these when I put them on my body. And here’s why: they have the compression we know and love from Spanx to lift the butt, elongate the leg, and support the core. I won’t tell if you won’t.

A sculptural vase
My search for the perfect vase to adorn our fireplace mantel ended with this one. The sculptural shape and creamy matte finish—it’s minimal but still makes a statement. I’ve been styling it with a couple olive branches from our backyard, and it brings that effortless, curated feel I’m always after.
A sustainable kitchen upgrade
Okay, this thing is genius. I had no idea how much food I wasted until Mill sent me one of their Food Recyclers to try. It looks like a sleek trash can, but you throw in all your food scraps, and it dehydrates and recycles them overnight. Composting has always intimidated me, so this is the solution—once it’s full, I’ll take my nutrient-rich food grounds and nourish the soil in my garden. (PS: Get $75 off with this link.)
White jeans always look terrible on me/to me - I’ll have to give these ones a try! Love the Target option too
Wild Dark Shore was so good! I didn’t want it to end.
